• Media Advisory: PGCPS Hosts National Leadership Conference

    UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) is hosting the first National Assistant Principal Leadership Conference, June 28 through June 30.

    More than 500 educators are expected to attend the conference, which focuses on enhancing the leadership capacity of assistant principals and their unique role in school leadership. Sessions provide training on building culture, developing leadership skills, coaching and feedback, leveraging data and partnership and collaboration.

    The event rounds out the school system’s annual Leadership Week. This year’s theme was “Leadership Matters: Inspire, Influence, Impact.” School administrators participated in professional development activities and workshops over the course of the week designed to strengthen their leadership skills and effectiveness.
